TEST Consulting was commissioned to perform an ESOS audit at a prominent data centre with an annual energy consumption of 28,000,000 kWh.

Our team conducted a comprehensive site audit, meticulously documenting every detail through a collection of over 200 photographs. Subsequently, we compiled a detailed 35-page report identifying eight energy-saving opportunities. These included two cost-effective solutions requiring minimal or no initial investment, alongside six strategies necessitating site funding. Key recommendations included reprogramming pump inverters, integrating Building Management Systems (BMS), optimising humidity levels, and installing solar energy systems. Collectively, these measures were projected to yield an impressive annual energy saving of over 5 million kWh and a cost reduction of approximately £1.6 million, against an investment below £1.2 million.
