ESOS at materials research company
research and technology company
OVERVIEW.
TEST conducted ESOS audits at four sites of a leading materials research and technology company, with total energy use of 9 million kWh.
Through detailed site visits and over 600 photos, TEST produced individual reports outlining 30 tailored energy-saving interventions. These measures are projected to save 1,240,000 kWh annually, equivalent to £304,000 in costs, against an investment of £530,000.
THE CHALLENGE.
TEST was engaged to perform Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) audits at four sites of a leading materials research and technology company. These sites, predominantly comprised of labs and testing equipment, had a total energy consumption of 9 million kWh.
THE APPROACH.
The approach implemented by TEST involved thorough site visits to each of the four locations, leading to the compilation of over 600 photos and the creation of individual evidence packs for each site. Detailed reports were then produced for each location, outlining 30 specific energy-saving interventions tailored to the unique requirements of each site. These proposed interventions were estimated to result in substantial energy savings of around 1,240,000 kWh or £304,000 annually, with an overall investment cost of £530,000.
THE RESULTS.
