On February 12th, TEST Consulting had the privilege of attending the Reset Connect North climate reception at the historic Houses of Parliament.
The event brought together sustainable business leaders, policymakers, and innovators from across the north of England to discuss the critical role of green technology in tackling climate change while driving regional economic growth.
Among the key attendees was Climate Minister Kerry McCarthy, alongside several Members of Parliament, who reinforced the importance of collaboration between government and businesses to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Innovation Driving Climate Solutions
The event showcased some of the most exciting advancements in sustainability. Discussions ranged from space-based solar power research, a pioneering technology that could revolutionise renewable energy, to practical digital solutions, such as platforms designed to measure and reduce the carbon footprint of company websites.
Another standout innovation was the use of behavioural tracking platforms to measure the impact of employee-driven sustainability initiatives, highlighting how small changes in organisational culture can lead to significant carbon reductions.
